Developing the digital literacy of academic staff

Developing the digital literacy of staff is equally as complex as it is for students. There is not one solution that will work equally well, on every occasion for academic staff. In this blog entry I reflect on the menu of staff development opportunities that may go someway in meeting these complex demands and tensions.

A few free and external sources of support include the use of MOOCs (a list of those that might be of interest to primary educators) and a consideration of Twitter as a tool for CPD.

I have also been very impressed with Lynda.com and hopefully this is something that will soon become available for students here. This blog entry also links to how Lynda.com has been institutionally embedded at the University of Southampton including single sign on.
